Is it a good practice to get link for your original page by shorter URL links

I have a question regarding getting links on bitly, tiny, or an other url shortner,
Is it a good practice to get link for your page by shorter url
I mean lets suppose i am getting natural guest post link from content for my blog home page
https://coupontoaster.com/blog/ ; and shorten it with bitly and then hyper link so is it a good practice am I getting the same power and SEO consideration as if i would have done this without url shortener.And what anchor texts shall i be using like rich anchor text or any other like click here, visit here, bitly or etc

@joeysolicitor I would like to know the answer to your question as well! I've noticed that some of my competitors are showing up in my backlink checker dashboard for bit.ly links and when I click on them it takes me to their longer and original URL.

Clever Way To Increase Organic Search Traffic To News/Magazine Websites
Hi fellow Mozzers... I've been asked to increase organic search (SEO) traffic to a news/magazine style website. All the website consists of is regular news articles within a specific niche. It is also already listed on Google News. I know we can improve any on-page tactics, such as optimising the article webpages, internal linking, improving the navigation and adding breadcrumbs etc. But what about off-page? They want us to work on backlinks to the site, which we can do for the homepage to improve the domain authority. But there's no point on increasing backlinks to the individual news articles, as they have a very short life span, and are not evergreen. Perhaps it's a good idea to increase backlinks to the category pages? But there are no real keyword opportunites on these pages. Are links from every page of a partners website to my website bad for seo?
I have asked a partner website to link to my website in the Menu Bar. Which has resulted in a link to my website from every page of the partners website (Over 1000 Pages). The link is not a "nofollow" link, it is a regular link. Can this have any negative effects in terms of SEO?
